Former employee of Star Metro steals bus for joy ride
A 34-year-old woman, who was a former city bus driver for Star Merto, was arrested after police claimed she stole an unoccupied Star Metro bus Friday afternoon October 5th, 2019.
The bus which was stolen at about noon near Doak Campbell Stadium on Florida State University's campus was later recovered.
Police say Darica Howard, who is facing charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle, was seen walking in the area before she was taken into custody. Howard was hired as a temporary employee with the city in May 2016. She resigned in January.
